Bring Julio home.

Above is a photo of our father, Julio Curiel, and our family. Our father was recently detained by ICE and will remain in ICE's custody for months while legal proceedings take place. He is a hardworking man who has lived an honorable life in the United States for over 21 years. The links below will direct you to ways in which you can assist our family and get to know our story better. Please take some time to get to know us.

I wrote this months before my father was detained as my personal statement on college applications. I wrote it about something that has always been a prominent issue in my lives and in the lives of many others. Not everyone is fortunate enough to sit in the comfort of their home knowing they have a job to put food on the table. Not everyone is fortunate enough to live in a developed country. If one could wait the time it takes to obtain proper documentation, they would. If one could afford to stay in their native country—where home is, where family is, where all they know is—they would. America was built by immigrants. Dehumanizing them is never the answer. Tearing their families apart is never the answer.
- Ydalia Curiel

As just one of many people who owe so much to the Curiel family, I wrote this post about Ydalia's father's story after he was detained. I'd greatly appreciate if you could take the time to read it. Thank you,
- Josh

Our father's absence has left a huge gap in our lives, both emotionally and financially, as he will be out of work for months while in ICE custody. The costs of securing legal representation amount to $25,000; we are struggling to cover the attorney fees needed to fight for his release and keep our family together. On top of the legal expenses, we are also facing the challenge of paying our mortgage and monthly bills without his income. The financial strain is immense, and we are doing everything we can to stay afloat while we fight for his return.Any amount you can donate or even just sharing our story would mean the world to us. Your support will go directly toward attorney fees, our family’s living expenses, and helping our family stay afloat while we fight for my father's return. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for standing with us during this challenging time.Above all, your prayers are deeply appreciated.

On May 11, 2026, we hosted a donation-based car wash in support of our father. We are so incredibly thankful for all the support shown for him and our family that day. We cannot emphasize enough how grateful we are for every person who helped by volunteering, bringing their car through, donating, sharing the fundraiser, or praying for good turnout. The car wash exceeded all of our expectations and that was because of God and because of people like you. We have been so blessed by our community. Thank you a million times from all of us, truly. This is what it means to be family.

Thank you to everyone who bought and picked up ceviche on May 30, 2026!

a very, very special thank you to the Caban family for allowing us to use their church for this fundraiser. We are forever grateful and in debt to them; they showed what it means to have the love of God in you.
